Gratitude

There’s no manual for raising kids (oh Lord if there only could be). And there’s no recipe for “right” – absolutely not. But in the household that is mine, somehow…someway… we got it right. Miracles do happen y’all – apparently.

So tooting a little horns tonight–at the end of the day it’s really about the young human angels of God above, who just happen to call me ‘mom’ on earth and my husband ‘dad’ while we borrow them from Him. Oh how blessed are we??!!

I have a 12, 15, and 16 year old. Any parent can relate to me right now that I just want to put them in a bubble and stop time… right now. One thing that hasn’t tapered off is their desire to be around us “the parents”. We’re strict, they do chores, complain, but we TALK. And they still want to spend time with us and really don’t like when time goes too long between hanging out as a family. And it’s important to them and their well being and personal development. How cool is THAT? Not your typical stereotype teenager right?

All the feels tonight (and every day I get to spend with my angels). I have a husband who thinks I’m heaven sent and wants to gobble me up because he loves me so much, and good kids who love their family time. Blessed blessed blessed beyond belief! I want for nothing in the nurture/d realm of my life. My cup truly runneth over.

Thank you Lord for your grace and love and blessings. I am ever humbled by Your love for me. May I show you the passionate thirst for Your Word as I get from your salvation. Thank you. In Jesus name, Amen.
